Product Integrity:
It’s essential not to overinflate the RideNow tube when not inside an outer tire, as this could cause irreversible damage.
Inflation Guidelines:
- Manual Pump Use: Always utilize a manual air pump. Refrain from using high-speed air filling devices, such as compressors.
- Initial Inflation: Turn the valve inwards before inflating. Only inflate slightly until the tube takes shape – ideally, less than 0.5 bar/8 PSI.
- Max Pressure: Ensure the tire pressure doesn’t surpass 5 bar/72PSI when using specific rims.
Temperature Considerations:
- Temperature plays a role in tire pressure. For instance, a 3° (5°F) increase can elevate the tire pressure by about 1%.
- Inflating tires in more excellent conditions (e.g., 18°C / 65°F) and then riding in hotter temperatures (e.g., 35°C / 95°F) can inadvertently raise the inner tube pressure.
- Riding on high-temperature surfaces, such as black asphalt exceeding 65°C (150°F), can push the pressure beyond the maximum limit. This can cause the tire to detach from the rim, posing injury risks.
Storage Recommendations:
For tires stored in conditions hotter than 60°C (140°F) (like inside a warm car), it’s best to reduce the inner tube pressure to around 1 bar/15 PSI. This prevents any valve deformations.
